NLINE (registrants will be sent a Zoom link via the email address they
register with. The Zoom link will be sent out 1-3 days prior to the train
ing and will come from "COAP Workshops.") Workshop Overview: Changes in the DSM-5 to DSM-5-TR (released
March 2022) include a new disorder, changes and clarifications for 70 disor
ders, and billing updates that include new IDC-10CM codes. This seminar id
entifies and discusses revisions from the DSM-5 to the DSM-5-TR, while focu
sing on how the changes impact diagnosing, billing practices, strategies to
address cultural changes, and application to real-world cases. Learning Objectives: By the end of this course, particip
ants will be able to: - Discuss the changes made relat
ed to the DSM-5 and resources available to the newly released DSM-5-TR in p
ractice
- Describe the clarifications incorporated into the new DSM-
5-TR diagnostic criteria including the updated coding procedures

dentify how to incorporate the new criteria of the DSM-5-TR based on 'real
world' cases
About the Presenter: Dr. Fritso
n joined the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK) as an Assistant Profes
sor after serving as a part-time lecturer for two years. Currently, as a t
enured, Full Professor at UNK, she teaches the clinical track courses, incl
uding Psychopathology, Intro to Clinical Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, a
nd General Psychology while conducting research and engaging in service act
ivities at UNK and the Kearney community. She has served for 18.5 years as
a sponsor for UNK’s Psychology Club and PsiChi Chapter, and is the academic
advisor for approximately 40 undergraduate psychology students every semes
ter. Her current scholarly activity includes: the effects of COVID-19 on st
udent athletes’ anxiety, depression, and sports; the effects of mindful med
itation via mobile app on several mental health factors in law enforcement
officers, projects regarding self-efficacy and journaling, student engageme
nt, positive psychology programs’ effectiveness for promoting wellness in c
ommunities and using Mindful Meditation applications for wellness. Dr
. Fritson also works as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She serves as th
e Director for the Behavioral Health Education Center of Nebraska (BHECN)-C
entral, Clinical Director for the Central Nebraska LOSS Team, Supervising P
ractitioner for community counselors, provides consultation to mental healt
h organizations, consults with high school and university sports teams, and
maintains a small private practice. She also volunteers for the HelpCare
Clinic, Buffalo County Community Health Suicide Coalition Committee, the KP
S Human Services & Education Small Learning Community Committee, Kearne
y Therapeutic Horseback Riding Advisory Board, and provides pro bono educat
ional programs for the City of Kearney, local medical agencies, and other c
ommunity groups. Dr. Krista K. Fritson earned her doctoral degree at
Forrest Institute of Professional Psychology in Springfield, MO in 1997. In
route to her Psy.D., Dr. Fritson earned her M.S. in Clinical Psychology fr
om Fort Hays State University and her B.S. in General Psychology from the U
niversity of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK). While acquiring her formal educati
on, Dr. Fritson worked in various roles in the mental health field and in a
variety of settings since 1986. She has experience working with a variety
of ages and mental/behavioral health diagnosis in a various setting, includ
ing inpatient hospitals, Treatment Group Homes, Residential Treatment, Day
Treatment, and Outpatient services. Costs: COAP use
