OPA Professional Member Non-Licensed Membership Application

OPA Professional Member Non-Licensed Membership is for candidates who have:

  • Fellow or Member status in the American Psychological Association; or
  • The receipt of the doctoral degree based in part upon a psychological dissertation, or a doctoral degree based on other evidence of proficiency in psychological scholarship from a program primarily psychological in content and conferred by a graduate or professional school that is regionally accredited, or that has achieved such accreditation within five years of the year the doctoral degree was granted, or one of equivalent standing outside the United States.

Professional Members shall have the privileges of voting and holding office.

Membership dues are $95 for the first year of annual dues*, and after the first year of annual membership, annual dues are $195.

OPA dues are not deductible as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes, but may be partially deductible as a business expense.  OPA estimates that 23% of your dues cannot be deducted as an ordinary and necessary business expense due to lobbying activites on behalf of the membership.

*1st Year dues reduction is available to new members under the categories noted or those applicants who have not been a member of OPA for the last two years.
