Welcome Andy Mendenhall to the 2019 OPA Annual Conference

Andy Mendenhall, M.D. 

 We are honored to welcome Andy Mendenhall, M.D. to our Conference this year. Dr. Mendenhall's presentation explores specific treatment, or combination of treatments, that will vary depending on the patient’s individual needs and, often, on the types of drugs they use. The presentation will also explore the resources that enhance treatment outcomes including peer support, housing and the Recovery Center, including an open forum facilitated by Beth Westbrook, PhD.

Dr. Mendenhall is Board Certified in Addiction Medicine and Family Medicine. Currently, he is the Chief Medical Officer for Substance Use Disorder Services at Central City concerns. Dr. Mendenhall graduated from the University of Portland, trained as a medical student and family physician at OHSU and worked at Providence Health Systems for five years. In partnership with Dr. Paul Conti he co-founded HealthWorks NW, an innovative outpatient integrated treatment program and continued to work there after it was acquired by Hazelden.
