Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received on or before April 1 at 11:59 pm will receive their total registration fee minus a $50 administrative processing fee. Cancellations received after April 1 and by April 21 at 11:59 pm will receive a 50% refund of their total registration fee. Cancellations after April 21 are not eligible for refunds. No shows and same day cancellations will not be refunded any registration fees. There will be no reduction in fees for partial attendance.

Research Poster Submissions

OPA’s annual conference will be held on May 6th. Applications are accepted from both students and nonstudent members. Poster submissions will be reviewed prior to the conference and accepted posters will be showcased at the conference. Awards will be given during the conference (conference attendance is encouraged). 

 DEADLINE: All Poster Submissions must be received by March 24, 2023.

If you are interested in submitting a proposal for a poster session, please email your proposal to [email protected] with the following information:

  • Subject of email: OPA 2023 Conference Poster Submission
  • The name(s) of the presenters and, if relevant, the name(s) of professors/instructors sponsoring the poster submission
  • Title of the poster presentation
  • Abstract (under than 300 words)
  • Contact information, including email & phone numbers of primary applicant 
  • Optional: The award category under which you would like to be evaluated

Conference Venue

Providence Willamette Falls Community Center is located at  519 15th St. , Oregon City, OR 97045. Just blocks from I-205 in historic Oregon City, the facility has easy access with free on-site parking. Parking spots are limited so carpooling is recommended.

Awards - Now Accepting Nominations

OPA is currently accepting nominations for our slate of awards that will be presented on May 6 during the OPA Spring Conference. Below is a list of the awards that may be presented. With each nomination please supply us with a name and brief paragraph describing why the nominee should be considered for the award. 

DEADLINE: All Award Submissions must be received by April 12, 2023.

Submissions should be sent to [email protected].The following awards will be given at the OPA Spring Conference if nominees are submitted:

Labby Award: Presented to an OPA member for outstanding contributions to the development of the advancement of psychology in Oregon through advocacy, education, training, and research.

Outstanding Service Award: Presented to an OPA member for remarkable contributions of inspirational service that enhances the resiliency of Oregon communities.

OPA Diversity Award: Presented to an OPA member for remarkable contributions to justice, equity, and inclusion for diverse and marginalized communities. 

OPA Public Education Award: Presented to an exceptional OPA member who embodies our committee's mission of reaching and impacting Oregon communities through public education activities.
